Directions: Just off SH1 about 12 kilometres north of Kaikoura, we purposely have no formal highway signs. About kilometer north of the Hapuku Lodge, our driveway is 200 metres north of the Kiwa Road turnoff. Full directions and map are provided on booking.
About SurfWatch Getaway Cottages
SurfWatch Getaway Cottages is rural 5 acre property located just off SH1, a short 10-15 minutes drive north of Kaikoura. Primarily self-catered, but we do offer optional continental breakfasts.
Situated about 30 meters above the sea between Mangamaunu and Meat Works, two of the South Island's most known surf breaks, we feature incredible sea and mountain views. From the Oceanview Ensuite, wake up to a sunrise, share a wine with a moonrise, or watch the dolphins jumping!
A great place to relax and enjoy nature, this places oozes charisma.
The cottages are privately nestled in native shrub belts, surrounded by a adjoining lawn. Entrances are private and parking is near your doorway.
Nothing "commercial" here! The rooms feature artistic detailing with unique woodwork and stonework of local artists. Wireless internet is free.
