About Abseil Inn

We are on a small ridge, just outside the Waitomo Village. Being in the countryside brings peace and quiet. However being just 2 km from the Legendary Blackwater Rafting and the Ruakuri walk , 1 km from the Waitomo Cave, and the Waitomo zipline, 600 metres away from the local pub, 500 metres from the Information Centre and Caves museum, 400 metres from the General Store and 300 metres away from the highly regarded Huhu restaurant, and Waitomo Adventures, we are close to many activities.

We are for young romantics or those young at heart. The Swamp room has a two-person bath, with candles and foams, ideal for that time together or just relaxing after that caving trip. The bath is reputed to be the biggest bath south of Auckland. The Bush room is also romantically canopied; the Cave room is for those more adventurous. The Farm room is traditionally rural. While our rooms are not large and our ensuites small( but not as small as the bathroom we had in Italy where you had to climb over the bidet to get to the shower, but close) they are ideal for those desiring time together. Our floors are native wood. Our rooms do not have tvs, fridges, chairs or a table; these are all in the guest lounge, along with a large range of teas, coffee, NZ books and games. Our wi-fi is great and covers the whole building. Outside are chairs on the deck, upon which to watch the stars or the sunset, and a swamp wood table shaded by a large sun umbrella.
