Kamahi Cottage is light, airy and warm with polished wooden floors downstairs, high beamed ceilings and stylish décor. There’s a comfortable downstairs lounge with free WiFi, heating & air conditioning, TV/DVD, sound system, CDs, reading material, a fully equipped kitchenette concealed in a large hand-crafted cabinet, dining area and a large, modern bathroom with robes, slippers, bed socks, hair driers, exclusive complimentary toiletries and heated towel rail. Hammock chairs on the veranda are ideal for relaxing & enjoying the panoramic views. The upstairs mezzanine bedroom has a queen-size bed and breathtaking views over Mt. Pirongia and Mt. Kakepuku. Fresh flowers, freshly ground coffee & tea assortments, home baking, port, schnapps (& a free mini bar) are provided. Downstairs a sofa-sleeper converts to a comfortable queen bed for 2 extra guests (children very welcome).
Full gourmet breakfasts (continental + cooked options) are included in the rates and delivered to the cottage or served in the nearby house whenever it suits guests. Private dinners (2 or 3 courses) are offered by prior arrangement with a wide range of menu options. (Extra charges apply)
Kamahi Cottage is 15 minutes from Otorohanga, a charming rural town, 30 minutes from Waitomo, 2.5 hours from Auckland, 1.5 hours from the Hobbiton movie location & 2 hours from Rotorua & Lake Taupo.
