India House is a 3 bedroom self-contained cottage located in the 20 acres of grounds of the Ica Station Homestead. The mature grounds exude privacy and seclusion and are in keeping with the long history of Ica. Our wooded entrance is at the end of a 'no exit road', so it's easy to find us. Please drive around the house and grounds, featuring brick patios, box hedges, an equestrian arena and stables up to the main Homestead entrance, where you will be welcomed!.

India House offers clean comfortable rustic accommodation for up to 6 persons . All bed linen as well as tea/coffee provisions is provided and you also have shared use of the swimming pool and spa pool (at the main homestead) during your stay. Just a short stroll across the lawns.

We are also a Wedding Venue. Ica Station Homestead is the perfect place for a picturesque garden wedding. From small intimate gatherings to large marquee weddings, this venue can accommodate your own unique requirements.

There's plenty of room for a marquee and parking for guests. Surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens the historic homestead behind makes a wonderful backdrop for photographs, with country side and lake views to the front.

Also available to rent, within the grounds of Ica Homestead we have a 3 bedroom cottage (sleeps up to 6) - India House (from $160 per night) and a 1 bedroom 'Whare' (sleeps 2) (from $135 per night). Email for details.

We are very close to the Greytown Rail Trail and Tauherenikau Loop for Walking and Cycling. Martinborough, Featherston, and Carterton are all within a 20 minute drive. Both the Waiohine River and the Tauherenikau River are close by for trout fishing, swimming or river walks.

In the summer our swimming pool is available to guests to use, our hot tub is available all year round. Our garden is currently a work in progress, but guests are also welcome to wander round the garden.

A Taste of France is in the main lodge with en-suite. It has a flat screen TV and tea making facilities as well as its own private outdoor terrace overlooking sweetness in spring and Christmas Lillies in summer.

The Morocco Room is a one-room suite n the main lodge with super-king-size bed which can also be split into king singles. Tastefully decorated with bits and pieces from Morocco.

The Little Italy Room is a one-room suite, also in the main lodge with king-size sleigh bed and gorgeous garden view.

The Garden Apartment is a self-contained apartment with private entrance, queen-size bed, bathroom, and galley kitchen.

Pinot Cottage is a newly refurbished self contained cottage in the garden of Prodigal Daughter Gourmet Lodge.

Also available by request, you can reserve the whole Lodge, or even the whole property. Ideal for special functions etc.

Prodigal Daughter Gourmet Lodge is run by Rachel Priestley, international chef. For something special ask about a four course table d’hote dinner in the fabulous dining room or book a hands-on cooking class

Choose from two spacious 3 bed apartments and one two bedroom unit. All three apartments are on first floor level serviced by generous stairs and lift. The two larger apartments each have an enclosed carpark. All units have modern ensuites plus separate bathrooms and laundry facilities.

Within walking distance to Queen Elizabeth park, Henley Lake, Aratoi Arts centre, swimming complex , shops and cafes. Short scenic drives to Featherston booktown, Martinborough wine country, historic Greytown, daffodil Carterton.
