ABOUT

ABOUT

Here we have created a haven for you to experience and enjoy.
From this base you can explore the region and the diverse range of activities that it has to offer.

Korepo Lodge is an architecturally designed self-catering accommodation Lodge at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. With its semi-rural surrounds, we provide a peaceful quality experience for our guests.

Located in Ruby Bay - halfway between Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, this is the ideal place from which to explore the Nelson and Tasman regions. Mountain biking, sea-kayaking, hiking, wine tasting, art galleries and a variety of other activities are all within easy distance.

Guests get exclusive use of Korepo Lodge when they book, so it is the ideal place for small groups or family gatherings. The Lodge can cater for up to twelve guests with six double rooms – all with an ensuite.

There is plenty of room with a large, open plan living space featuring a lounge, library, casual seating, dining and kitchen. The kitchen opens out onto an expansive covered deck area with barbeque and outdoor seating.

The lawn, garden, and trees provide the peace and solitude necessary for a relaxing stay. There are plenty of places for one to read, socialise, eat, drink, and enjoy the company of others.

Ruby Bay & Mapua

The beach at Ruby Bay is a five minute walk from the Lodge and gives you a view across Tasman Bay to Nelson. It is ideal for morning runs or evening walks.

Mapua and its wharf area are a four minute drive from the Lodge. This small, colourful, coastal community has a selection of essential shops and a garage. It also hosts an interesting collection of boutique shops, art galleries, restaurants, a couple of breweries and a wine bar.

Mapua Wharf is where the Ferry for the Tasman Great Taste Cycle Trail links Rabbit Island with Mapua. The Waimea Estuary is the largest semi-enclosed estuary in the South Island and home to a large variety of birds.

The Wharf is a popular local gathering place and always a hive of activity. Fishing and jumping off the wharf are regular local past times. A couple of restaurants are located on the Wharf for that unique dining experience.

Nelson & Tasman

The Nelson and Tasman regions are internationally known for both their rich arts and cultural scene as well as their natural scenery and landscapes.

Cycle trails, mountain and coastal tracks, and outdoor activities such as sea-kayaking, paddle-boarding, skydiving, mountain biking, and golf give many ways to experience the region.

The Abel Tasman Coastal Walking Track and The Tasman Great Taste Cycle Trail are two such trails that highlight the regions beautiful scenery.

As a bonus the exceptional, temperate climate allows year-round accessibility for most activities. The wealth of local restaurants, art galleries, museums and local events all add to your enjoyment and rich experience.
