After a major earthquake in 1931 much of Napier was rebuilt in the style of the day leading many to visit "The Bay" for the art deco buildings and Napier’s attractive waterfront with the distinctive Norfolk Pines.

And the wines! Superb vineyards abound, many of them with cellar door shops & tastings. Hawke’s Bay is one of New Zealand’s warmest, driest regions and this has made it one of the country’s leading producers of wine; notably red wines – cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah – but also with some quite stunning whites At last count the region has some 90 wineries!

Hastings is surrounded by luscious orchards and don’t miss a trip up Te Mata Peak for an amazing vista. An excursion to Cape Kidnappers is well worth the effort too.

We have two suites :-
Milton Suite has a Queen bed while the Dickens Suite has a King size bed.

A minimum 2 night stay policy applies from 1st December, 2019 to 1st April 2020

Both suites are extremely spacious, are private, quiet and there is no sound-transfer from other rooms. The beds are dressed with quality linen, feather and down blankets and electric blankets for the winter. Each have comfortable chairs for relaxation and a window seat in each suite is a favourite with guests to curl up with a book or just enjoy the garden. There is a flat screen television in each bedroom as well as ceiling fans for your comfort during the hot Hawke's Bay summers. There is a private en-suite attached to both Milton and Dickens with quality thick and thirsty towels. .

There are tea and coffee making facilities available for your use at any time. Our breakfasts are gorgeous and have received many comments and compliments. Beautiful seasonal fruit, homemade muesli or a cooked breakfast of your choice served in our dining room which will certainly set you up for the day. !!

We offer two lovely private rooms on the upper floor, one with ensuite the other has a large private bathroom. There is also a spacious guest lounge and a large balcony where you can relax and enjoy expansive views of the Pacific Ocean, Cape Kidnappers and Te Mata Peak.

Enjoy your continental or cooked breakfast including fresh fruit salad and croissants on the lower verandah while watching and hearing the waves break on the shore.

Leave the car safely parked at Seaview Lodge and stroll down the stairs onto Napier's historic Marine Parade with the Museum, Theatre and Art Gallery, Art Deco Centre, I Site, shops cafes and restaurants only a three minute walk away. The heated outdoor pool complex including cafe, spa and sauna is across the road with the ocean and fantastic walkway/cycle path behind.

Sea Breeze B&B is located on the seafront just 2 mins walk from Napier Bus Station, supermarkets, inner-city shopping and Visitor Information Centre. The Hawke's Bay Conference Centre and McLean Park sporting venue are within an easy walk. Complimentary transfer to and from the Bus Station can be arranged as well as information on the Airport Taxi and Shuttle Service.

The guest wing is upstairs, with each guest being given a set of keys to come and go as they please. The three luxurious guest rooms have either an Imperial Asian, Turkish, or Indian influence. Two rooms have ensuites and the third has a private bathroom, right next to the bedroom.

Your hosts Cafer and Fiona take great pride in maintaining a high level of standard and service. Fiona is a nurse from Napier who lured Cafer back to the beautiful Hawke’s Bay, following her ‘Big OE’ (in 1992). Cafer is from Istanbul and has worked in tourism since childhood. They have been the owner/operators of Sea Breeze B&B since 1999 and have raised two daughters in the guest house.
