Waitomo Caves Area accommodation

Our B&B is situated on 2 acres of gardens including plum trees, feijoa trees and a spa pool overlooking it all. Guests enjoy a premium continental breakfast consisting of an array of cereals and muesli, Toast, Fruit Toast, Croissants, Organic Juice and seasonal fruits fresh from our orchard shop. Each room has its own TV along with a 42 inch in the guest lounge with Sky TV. Our orchard shop is located 1 minute down the road from our B&B and guests are encouraged to call in for a visit, enjoy our produce and visit the Homestead Cafe next door. The Homestead Cafe is the hub for all tourists wishing to book tickets and offers a 10% discount. Our property is surrounded in substantial gardens and landscaping allowing our guests to wonder and enjoy during their stay. Our guests compliment the atmosphere and stunning views our property offers. Guests share a modern bathroom including a shower and a bathtub.

We are a young family who enjoy welcoming guests from all over the world into our B&B. We friendly and welcoming and do our best to ensure our guests enjoy their stay with us.

We are located 8 minutes from Waitomo Caves village, 6 Minutes from Black Water Rafting and 6 Minutes from Otorohanga Kiwi House. We are also only a short walk away from the Waitomo 18 hole Golf Course.

Consisting of 8 comfortable rooms, each with ensuite, a/c (for year round comfort) , tea and coffeemaking facilities and views of the cottage garden. Free offstreet parking is available. A large buffet continental-style breakfast including cereals, homemade yoghurt, tinned and fresh fruit, croissant, toast, spreads, jams, local honey and peanut butter, juice, tea and coffee is provided. We have bbq facilities available and a lovely balcony or grape arbour to sit and enjoy. As we are situated on a hillside, disabled person access may be difficult. We have guest laundry, communal microwave oven and fridge freezer. There are no other cooking facilities available to guests. Free WIFI is available in every room.
Located opposite the award-winning Huhu restaurant. Next to Twelve Tables Cafe and 3 minute walk to The 'Tomo' bar and eatery.
Close proximity to all cave activities in the area, for which we can provide advice on booking or book on your behalf service. 26km to the Mangapohue Natural Bridge and 31km to Marokopa Falls. 50km to Marokopa Beach. An ideal location from which to view the greater Waitomo area.
A highlight is the Ruakuri Reserve bushwalk, where glowworms can be seen after dark. One of the top 10 short walks in New Zealand.

Short drive to the Otorohanga Kiwi House and Te Kuiti township.

Kamahi Cottage is light, airy and warm with polished wooden floors downstairs, high beamed ceilings and stylish décor. There’s a comfortable downstairs lounge with TV/DVD, sound system, CD collection and plentiful reading material, a fully equipped kitchenette concealed in a large hand-crafted cabinet, charming dining area and a spacious, modern bathroom with robes, slippers, bed socks, hair driers, exclusive complimentary toiletries and heated towel rail. Hammock chairs on the veranda are ideal for relaxing and enjoying the uninterrupted views. The upstairs mezzanine bedroom has a queen-size bed and panoramic views over Mounts Pirongia and Kakepuku. Fresh flowers, freshly ground coffee & tea assortments, home baking and port are always provided. Downstairs a sofa-sleeper converts to a comfortable double bed for 2 extra guests and children are very welcome.
Full gourmet breakfasts (continental + cooked options) are delivered to the cottage or served in the nearby homestead at any time to suit guests. Private dinners (2 or 3 courses) are also offered by prior arrangement and feature a wide range of creative options.
